Integrated development of the water sector - Mali's case

Mali is carrying out an integrated development of its water sector with the creation of a reliable database called SIGMA, and the preparation and uptake of a Master Plan. A detailed list has been prepared of the strategies and investments needed through the year 2001 to attain the two major objectives: meeting the country's needs and achieving food security through expanded development of irrigation.
