Integrated weed management in sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.)

A field experiment was conducted at Visweswaraiah, Mandya Pradesh, India, during 1991-92 to determine an effective and economical integrated weed management practice in sugarcane. Integrated weed management practices were compared with chemical and conventional methods of weed control. The total weed count was lowest in plots receiving post-emergence paraquat at 0.6 kg a.i. ha-1 and 2,4-D at 2.0 kg a.i. ha-1.
