Integrated weed management in wheat + sarson intercropping system under mid-hill conditions of Himachal Pradesh

A field experiment was conducted during the rabi seasons of 1992-94 at Himachal Pradesh, India. The major weed species were Phalaris minor, Lolium temulentum, Avena fatua and Vicia sativa. Pendimethalin (0.75 kg/ha) + isoproturon (1.0 kg/ha) applied pre-emergence was as effective as post-emergence application of isoproturon (1.5 kg/ha), which provided 78-82% weed control.
