Three herbicides, pendimethalin, metolachlor, fluchloralin, applied alone, in mixtures or combined with one hand weeding at 30 days after transplanting, were evaluated along with farmer's practice and the standard controls of weedy and weed-free treatments for weed control in tomato (L. esculentum) in an experiment conducted in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India during the rabi season of 1997-98.
