Integrated weed management systems for maize using mesotrione, nicosulfuron and acetochlor

ZA1296 (2-(4-methylsulfonyl-2-nitrobenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexanedione), proposed common name mesotrione, controls the major broadleaf weeds and selected annual grasses in maize (Zea mays) when applied either to the soil surface or to weed foliage. It can be used in integrated weed management programmes. Two partners of choice are acetochlor and nicosulfuron.
