Inter-annual variability of nutrient loadings in the lower Nakdong River, Mulgum, Korea

Inter-annual variability of nutrient loadings in the lower Nakdong River, Mulgum, Korea

Acta Hydrobiologica Sinica 23(Suppl): 17-23

Nutrient (TN, TP, and SiO2) and BOD loadings in the lower part of the Nakdong River, Mulgum, Korea Republic, were investigated at weekly and/or biweekly intervals from June 1994 to June 1998. Inter-annual variability of nutrient and BOD loadings was remarkable during this period. When annual precipitation was high (1348 mm) in 1997, the loadings of TN, TP, SiO2, and BOD were also high (TN 115041 t/year, TP 7583 t/year, SiO2 193312 t/year, BOD 133599 t/year).
