Interaction of Rhizobium and rust in soyabean

Journal of Maharashtra Agricultural Universities 23(3): 326-327

Pot experiments were conducted to determine the effect of Rhizobium japonicum (Bradyrhizobium japonicum) seed treatment on soyabeans MACS-13 inoculated with an urediospore suspension (20 000 urediospores/ml) of the rust pathogen Phakopsora pachyrhizi. Observations on plant growth, nodulation, nodule dry weight, plant dry weight, pod weight and rust incidence were recorded 40, 60 and 80 days after sowing (DAS).
