Interaction of SO2 and Fusarium solani Sacc. on growth characteristics of Cicer arietinum cv. U-24

Journal of Ecotoxicology and Environmental Monitoring 9(3/4): 167-175

This study was carried out to determine the interaction of SO2 (air pollutant) and Fusarium solani on growth response of Cicer arietinum U-24. Combination studies showed antagonistic response on germination and sulfate content at both concentrations of SO2 (650 and 1300 micro g/msuperscript 3), while the response was synergistic for fresh weight, dry weight, root-shoot ratio, total chlorophyll, chlorophyll a/b ratio and carotenoid contents.
