One hundred and thirty-six feed samples consisting of roughage (n=15), energy feeds (n=47), protein concentrate (n=28) and concentrate factory feed (n=46) obtained after harvesting, storage, after production and before consumption from 5 different places in 1995 were divided into 4 groups. Lipopolysaccharide content of 33 feed samples was found to be within permissible levels, 59 samples had normal levels while 42 samples exceeded normal levels. Total bacterial and fungal counts were also evaluated and 114 (83.83 %) of the 136 samples were suitable for consumption while 22 (16.17%) were not.
