Isolation of Scedosporium apiospermum/Pseudallescheria boydii from a bovine mastitis case

Isolation of Scedosporium apiospermum/Pseudallescheria boydii from a bovine mastitis case

Journal de Mycologie Medicale 10(1): 43-45

The isolation of S. apiospermum/P. boydii from a bovine mastitis case in France is reported. A milk sample from a cow with a strong mastitis resistant to treatment was submitted for examination and cultures grew a filamentous fungus. The mycological identification identified P. boydii, teleomorph of S. apiospermum.
