Japanese tourism satisfaction: Gold Coast versus Hawaii

Japanese tourism satisfaction: Gold Coast versus Hawaii

Journal of Vacation Marketing 6(4): 299-317

The factors in Japanese tourists' satisfaction with destination attributes in Hawaii (USA) and the Gold Coast (Australia) are identified. A survey of 300 Japanese tourists departing from Hawaii was compared with a survey of 363 Japanese tourists departing from the Gold Coast. Both surveys were collected over the period August 1998 to March 1999. Twenty-seven elements of satisfaction with destination choice were factor analysed and compared between the Gold Coast and Hawaii.
