Joint regression analysis of competition in groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.)

Haryana Agricultural University Journal of Research 2001; 30(3/4): 99-105

Six released groundnut varieties belonging to the subspecies hypogaea and fastigiata was studied. Genotypexenvironment interaction mean squares for all the characters studied were significant which showed occurrence of intergenotypic competition. The linear component of competition was significant only for shelling percentage. The nonlinear deviation was highly significant for 100-pod weight, 100-kernel weight and shelling percentage.
