The morphology of M. deliciosa leaves is described with the aim of developing an identification system for ornamental species of the genus Monstera. The leaves are simple, alternate, pinnate-striate, glabrous, asymmetric and fenestrate, generally with smooth edges or sometimes divided with deep clefts. The base is cordiform and the tip is acuminate or cuspidate. The first 3 leaves are macrophylls and the remaining ones are megaphylls.
