The effect of sewage and borewell water irrigation on leaf quality of mulberry (Morus indica and cocoon crops of silkworm (Bombyx mori) was investigated in Ramanagara taluk, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Composite samples of mulberry leaf and soil were collected from each of 7 mulberry gardens. Leaf samples were analysed for total N and chlorophyll, soluble protein, sugar, calcium and magnesium. Soil samples were analysed for pH, electrical conductivity, organic C, available N, P and K.
