Meiosis and behavior of nuclei during basidiospore formation in ectomycorrhizal fungi Amanita virosa

Meiosis and behavior of nuclei during basidiospore formation in ectomycorrhizal fungi Amanita virosa

Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Normalis Hunanensis 23(1): 79-82

Cytological studies of meiosis and basidiospore formation in A. virosa were carried out. The chromosome number of A. virosa was 5 (n=5) was determined after careful observation of chromosomes at various stages of meiosis. Four nuclei were formed during meiosis and immigrated in 4 basidiospores, respectively.
