Micropropagation of a 23-year-old candidate plus tree of Eucalyptus tereticornis Sm

Micropropagation of a 23-year-old candidate plus tree of Eucalyptus tereticornis Sm

Indian Journal of Forestry 23(2): 149-154

Nodal explants collected from a 23-year-old candidate plus tree of Eucalyptus tereticornis from New Forest, Dehra Dun, Uttar Pradesh (India) were cultured on MS (Murashige and Skoog, 1962) medium. Cultures established on medium with 1.0 mg/litre BAP + 0.1 mg/litre NAA and then transferred to medium with 1.0 mg/litre BAP + 1.0 mg/litre NAA gave maximum multiplication of shoots. Regular subculturing was then done on medium with 1.0 mg/litre BAP.
