Observations on the susceptibility of Japanese apple cultivars and rootstock selections to fire blight

In experiments conducted during 1995 in Geneva, New York, USA, apple cultivars and rootstocks were evaluated for susceptibility to fire blight following controlled inoculation with Erwinia amylovora. Most of the x Japanese apple cultivars tested were susceptible to fire blight, but 'Himekami' was intermediate.
