Occurrence and control of weeds in direct-seeded rice paddy in Korea

Journal of Weed Science and Technology 44(4): 391-404

In field studies conducted in Korea Republic the number of weed species occurring in paddy fields was 23 in direct seeded dry paddy and 18 in direct seeded flooded paddy. Echinochloa crus-galli was the most dominant species in direct seeded dry paddies followed by Cyperus difformis, Cyperus serotinus, Ludwigia prostrata and Aneilema japonica.
