Occurrence of Escherichia coli O157 in reindeer (Rangifer tarandus)

Veterinary Record 148(20): 633-634

This study examines the occurrence of E. coli O157:H7 in Finnish reindeer (Rangifer tarandus). Individual faecal samples from 1378 animals and 421 meat samples were taken at 10 reindeer slaughterhouses and at two slaughtering sites between October 1998 and March 1999.
