Phytohormones of winter wheat infected with the fungus Septoria tritici Roberge ex Desm

The patterns of changes in plant growth regulators (abscisic acid (ABA), IAA and zeatin) in winter wheat infected by Septoria tritici (anamorph Mycosphaerella graminicola) were studied in cultivars Mirleben (resistant) and Dons'ka Napivkarlikova (susceptible). Considerable differences in the changes in the quantitative ratio of phytohormones were observed between the 2 cultivars upon infection. The ABA content of Mirleben increased 3-6-fold, while IAA and zeatin content decreased.
