Process of villagers' mutual consent and rural infrastructure development in Bangladesh

The structure and function of several villages units constituting administrative villages in Bangladesh is analysed. The traditional village, samaj, is shown to be the most suitable type for endangering rural development. The process of villagers' mutual consent in a number of village activities within the samaj is examined.
