Spraying technique against Phytophthora infestans

Studies were carried out during 1997-99 in Switzerland to investigate the effects of different spraying equipment, application rates of fungicides (200, 400 and 430 litres/ha), spraying direction (due to different nozzles), and spraying pressure (2.6, 4.0, 6.9, and 8.7 bar) on P. infestans in potatoes (cv. Agria). Data are presented on coverage, the effect of compressed air on coverage, spread of P. infestans, and crop yield.
