The effectiveness of cyhalofop-butyl against Echinochloa crus-galli when applied in water increased with increased application rate from 60 to 480 g/ha. No damage to rice occurred with rates of <240 g/ha. The extruded granule was not effective, but the 1% oil granule with 9% di-tridecyl phthalate was more effective than application in water, and also more effective than oil granules with isopropyl myristate ormethyl oleate.
