The effects of sex, suckling position and initial weight of piglets on daily gain and mortality during lactation



ITEA Produccion Animal 95A(3): 282-291



102 piglets, including 7 stillbirths, 14 piglets which died during lactation and 81 weaned piglets were studied. These piglets came from 10 litters of 6th parity sows. Sows and litters were subjected to the same handling during lactation. Piglets were weaned at 32 days of age.
