A field experiment was conducted in Uttar Pradesh, India during the 1996 and 1997 wet seasons to study the effect of various weed management practices on the weed growth and yield and nitrogen uptake in rice (Oryza sativa Jalpriya) and weeds in transplanted situation conditions.
