Yield and nutrient uptake of rice (Oryza sativa) as influenced by sources and levels of phosphorus and zinc under transplanted conditions

In a field experiment during the rainy seasons of 1993 and 1994 at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, rice Sarjoo 52 was given 30, 60 or 90 kg P/ha as ammonium polyphosphate (APP), urea nitric phosphate or diammonium phosphate and 15, 30 or 45 kg Zn/ha. Grain yield and N, P, K and Zn uptake increased with increasing P rate, and were greatest with APP.
