Wood model for the dynamic behaviour of wood in multiaxial compression

The use of wood as a shock absorber in containers for radioactive materials and the need of designers for good quality mechanical characteristics had lead us to investigate the behaviour of wood under multiaxial dynamic compression. This paper presents the main experimental results of the static and dynamic compression we performed on small samples of wood during this study.
