Different combinations of 4 bulb diameters (1.6 to 2.5 cm, B1; 2.6 to 3.5, B2; 3.6 to 4.5, B3; or 4.6 to 5.5 cm, B4) and plant spacing (30 x 30, S1; 45 x 30, S2; 60 x 30, S3; or 60 x 45, S4) treatments were used in a field experiment conducted in Junagadh, Gujarat, India during the rabi season of 1994-95. Observations on plant height, scape number and seed yield were recorded. The highest plant height (58.60 cm) and scape number (7.0) were recorded from B4S3 and B4S4, respectively.
