A study on resistance of Pyricularia grisea Sacc. causal agent of rice blast disease to Benomyl and Edifenphos in Guilan Province

In 1997-98, infected leaves and panicles of rice were sampled from rice fields in Guilan, Iran. The causal fungus (P. grisea was isolated from each sample on PDA medium using the single-spore technique. The isolates (n=50) were evaluated for resistance to fungicides on PDA medium amended separately with 0.1, 1.2 and 4.0 ppm of active ingredient of benomyl and 1-140 ppm of edifenphos.
