The genetic transformation of embryogenic callus derived from the nucellar tissue in the polyembryonic cultivar 'Monica' Citrus sinensis x C. reticulata was explored using liquid and solid culture media. The transformation was done with Agrobacterium rhizogenes using stump A4 agropine type containing wild plasmid pRiA4 that carries the rol genes and as the binary vector the plasmid pESC4 with the gene mptII that confers resistance to kanamycin.
