An in vitro detection system for sulfonylurea resistant biotypes of Cyperus difformis L

A resistance detection test was developed using 3 biotypes of C. difformis from Spain, UK and Uruguay. The method consisted of germination and growth of plantlets in Petri dishes in water medium with different herbicide concentrations. After 15 days, the plantlet and root lengths were evaluated.
