The effect of the application time of fertilizers and lime on yield, plant composition, and crude protein content of native pasture under Samsun ecological conditions, Turkey was studied during 1995. The treatments were: 450 kg/lime/ha and 9 levels of N and P fertilizers applied at various times. Lime increased hay and fodder yield, crude protein content, and plant composition while decreasing grain rate.
