An outbreak of Foot and Mouth disease in a herd of crossbred cattle

During the months of December 2001 and January 2002, an outbreak of Foot and Mouth disease (Foot and Mouth Disease type-A virus) was recorded in a crossbred dairy herd (n=468) at the Livestock Experiment Station in Qadirabad, Pakistan. The sick animals showed only oral lesions, except for one, which developed foot lesions after 10 days.
