Assessment of losses in yield due to powdery mildew disease in mustard under North Gujarat conditions

To estimate grain yield losses in mustard Varuna caused by Erysiphe cruciferarum, one set of mustard plants was sprayed five times with 0.05% dinocap, whereas another set was sprayed with water only in a field experiment conducted in Gujarat, India during 1994-97. Pooled plant disease index was lower, whereas grain yield was higher with spraying of dinocap.
