Base-temperature and thermal summation (degree-days) for 'Brasil' and 'Benitaka' grapes

The base temperature and cumulative degree-days required for the completion of individual crop stages and the total crop cycle (from pruning to harvest) were determined for the table-grape cultivars Brasil and Benitaka in Jales, Brazil in 1998. Both cultivars were pruned on 5 different dates in the cycle. The average length of the total cycle was 140 days for Brasil and 162 days for Benitaka.
