Biological protection of rice fallow blackgram against root rot disease (Macrophomina phaseolina)

Three native isolates of Trichoderma viride (I1, I2 and I3) were isolated from the rhizosphere of rice fallow black gram (Vigna mungo). T. viride isolates were applied on the seed (at 5 x 109 conidia/ml) before sowing, in the soil at 2.6 x 103 conidia/ml, or in a combined soil + seed treatment to evaluate the efficacy of this biological control agent against M. phaseolina causing root rot disease.
