A field experiment was conducted during 1995-97 in New Delhi, India, to investigate the effect of different intercrops (lentil and linseed) in rabi season on biomass production by fodder cowpea in kharif season in a 9-year-old kinnow plantation. Fifteen treatment combinations of intercrop rotation involving fallow, lentil and linseed in rabi followed by fallow and cowpea in kharif with or without recommended fertilizer application.
