Causes and control of carry-over and cross-contamination (Part 2): In premixes and compound feed

Causes and control of carry-over and cross-contamination (Part 2): In premixes and compound feed

Kraftfutter 85(6): 239-246

This paper reviews the effect of different mixing systems, additives (clopidol, nicarbazin and methyl violet) and carrier substances, different types of compound feed, individual plant elements and conveyor systems, and rinsing batch volume on the extent of microcomponent carry-over and contamination of subsequent batches in premix and compound feed production.
