Characteristics of photosynthesis and senescence after heading stage in two-line indica hybrid rice

Chinese Journal of Rice Science 16(2): 141-145

A comparative study on the photosynthesis and senescence of two-line and three-line hybrid rice indicated that leaf senescence was associated with the decrease in superoxide dismutase activity and chlorophyll, soluble protein content, and the marked increase in malondialdehyde content. Significant differences were observed within the same kind of hybrid rice but not between the two kinds of hybrids.
