A clinical evaluation of the columna vertebralis and spinal cord lesions in 103 dogs of different breeds, age, and gender with neurological complaints was conducted. Patients were examined clinically and neurologically. For the neurological examination, the biceps, triceps, and extensor carpi radialis reflexes were tested in the forelimbs and the patellar, gastrocnemius, and cranial tibial reflexes were tested in the hindlimbs. Proprioceptive reaction was also determined in all limbs.
