The clinical and histomorphological aspects of autogenous and allogenic split thickness skin grafting were studied in calves. A total of 80 grafts were transplanted on 8 healthy male calves, either by autogenous (group A) or allogenic (group B) split thickness skin grafting. In autografts, varying degrees of inflammatory changes were observed. The grafts appeared cyanotic; also, moderate swelling and a medium degree of warmth were observed in the initial stages.
