Cloning of coat protein gene of Grapevine fanleaf virus Hangzhou isolate and construction of its plant expression vector

The coat protein (CP) gene of the grapevine fanleaf virus Hangzhou isolate (GFLV-H) was amplified from the total viral RNA by RT-PCR and inserted into the pGEM-T-easy vector. Sequence analysis showed that the gene contained 1515 nucleotides encoding 504 amino acids. The nucleotide sequence and the deduced amino acid sequence of GFLV-H were 88 and 95% homologous to GFLV-F13, respectively.
