Genetic divergence for yield and yield components (grain length, breadth and thickness; kernel length, breadth and thickness; 1000-kernel weight; 100-embryo weight; and 1000-grain weight) was studied in 60 rice cultivars grown in Mohanpur, West Bengal, India, during the rainy seasons of 1999 and 2000. The clustering pattern based on genetic diversity did not correlate with the grouping of cultivars based on growing conditions.
