The anxiolytic activity of P. incarnata extracts (100, 200, 300, and 400 mg/kg) from various commercial manufacturers of homeopathic medicines, and of P. incarnata methanol extract (125 mg/kg) as the control, was evaluated in Swiss albino mice. The extracts were administered orally, and 45 minutes after treatment, the mice were placed on the centre of an elevated plus maze and the number of entries in open arms were measured.
