Comparative performance of tomatoes during summer and winter

Comparative performance of tomatoes during summer and winter

Annals of Bangladesh Agriculture 8(1): 9-14

A study was conducted during September 1992-June 1993, in Gazipur, Bangladesh to evaluate the performance of 31 heat-tolerant lines, 5 heat-sensitive cultivars and 4 wild lines of tomato in respect of yield and yield attributes. Heat-tolerant and heat-sensitive genotypes required 57-68 days to flower in winter. The 10 selected genotypes grown in summer flowered in 60-71 days for maturity in winter, and 103-122 days during summer.
