Comparative study on photosynthetic characteristics of birch in Liangshui region

Journal of Northeast Forestry University 29(2): 44-46

Results of a comparative study on photosynthetic characteristics of birch (Betula platyphylla) from Liangshui region, Heilongjiang, China, showed that both maximum photosynthetic (Pg max) and apparent quantum yield (AQY) of young trees were higher than those of seedlings; both Pg max and AQY of sexual birch were higher than those of asexual birch (seedlings, young trees, adult trees).
