The segregating populations of 2 separate sets of material in 3 crosses of cowpea, i.e. C 152 x APC 412, TVX 944-02E x APC 225 and KBC 2 x APC 1452, were advanced by pedigree, bulk and single seed descent (SSD) methods of selection from F4 and F5 to F5 and F6 generations during kharif 1999-2000 in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
