Comparison of grass pollen (Poaceae) concentration in aeroplankton of Szczecin in 2000 and 2001

Grass pollen grains are the most common allergens in the temperate climatic zone. The majority of grass species have well-determined pollen seasons, however, because of the species richness of this group the total pollen season is relatively long. The aim of the study was to characterize the grass pollen seasons in Szczecin (Poland) in the years 2000 and 2001. The pollen count and the pollen fall were measured respectively by the volumetric and gravimetric methods.
