Comparison of three dairy herds reproduction indices

Comparison of three dairy herds reproduction indices

Veterinarski Arhiv 70(Suppl): S239-S243

ISSN/ISBN: 0372-5480

The dairy cow and heifer reproductive performance on 3 farms visited within the herd health and production management project were evaluated. Values of primary and secondary reproductive indices as well as status of husbandry, nutrition, health, and production for 91 animals were shown and compared. Relatively equal values were obtained for the primary reproductive indices. The observed negative factors were mostly related to inappropriate farm and herd management.
