Comparison of yield and physiological characters between upland rice and paddy rice cultivars under submerged and rain-fed conditions

Some yield and physiological characters, including panicle length and weight, kernel number per panicle, seed set percentage, 100-kernel weight, grain weight per plant, plant height (PH), leaf water potential (LWP), fresh leaf weight (FLW), stoma resistance (SR) and degree of leaf-rolling (DLR), were compared between a set of 8 paddy rice (PR) cultivars and a set of 7 upland rice (UR) cultivars.
